JUNE 04 - JUNE 7, 2018

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Kathak is one of the most vital dance forms, going beyond mudras and postures following the beats and rhythm. It is not confinement, but freedom through dance. Kathak has carved its way through over glorious years of Indian history. The concepts and underlying tales depicted in a Kathak dance performance narrate or hint at mythological and historical tales of our country.

Benefits of learning Kathak

Taking lessons in group offers an opportunity to meet like-minded people, make friendship and learn teamwork. The whole experience is very spiritual and rewarding.

With the present lifestyle scenario that leads to limited activity for our bodies, we all seek ways and methods to squeeze in some fitness-hours into our daily lives. Learning Kathak is a good way to relieve everyday stress. It helps internally to overcome physical and mental tension playfully.

In this workshop, you will be taught the basics of Kathak like footwork, spins and movements. This workshop would make you more aware about Indian heritage and culture through this beautiful Indian classical dance form.

Come let us celebrate dance and joy within us.

APRIL 17 - MAY 24, 2018

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Every Tuesday and Thursday

Our children live in a hurry-up world of busy parents, school pressures, incessant lessons, video games, malls, and competitive sports. We usually don't think of these influences as stressful for our kids, but often they are. The bustling pace of our children's lives can have a profound effect on their innate joy - and usually not for the better.

We have found that yoga can help counter these pressures. When children learn techniques for self-health, relaxation, and inner fulfilment, they can navigate life's challenges with a little more ease. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that's noncompetitive. Fostering cooperation and compassion - instead of opposition - is a great gift to give our children.

Join us for a 6-week programme of yoga, fun and more, taught by a certified professional from California.

February 02 - March 23, 2018

Every Friday (8 classes)

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Storytime plays an important role in introducing children to the magic of books. Although it is never too late to start, we should begin reading books to our children when they are very small, even before they can walk and talk. As babies, children enjoy books with bright pictures and simple text. Board books that babies can manipulate themselves (and chew on) are good choices, too. Also good are books that are lyrical, such as Dr Seuss books and nursery rhymes.

While babies cannot understand the intricacies of the language, they do enjoy the rhythm of the words. This early introduction to reading will help broaden a child's environment and expose him to new situations. When young children listen to a story, they have the opportunity to identify feelings and behaviours in others in a very non-threatening way. Stories can teach appropriate and desired behaviour by describing characters' positive behaviours.

The Storytime is divided into 2 groups:

(a) 1.5 to 3 years @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

(b) 3 to 7 years @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

The 8-session program involves:

  • Internationally acclaimed stories

  • Music & drama

  • Storytelling through puppet

  • Role Play & Act

  • Learning through Art & Craft

  • Follow up worksheets to memorize the story

Stories :

  1. The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle

  2. Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson

  3. Do you speak English, moon? by Fransesca Simon

  4. The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson

  5. We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen

  6. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein

  7. Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell

  8. The Mixed up Chameleon by Eric Carle
